FESR 2021-2027 Programming in Sicily

Sicily is preparing to face the most important and decisive challenges in its history for its future and for that of its citizens, continuing the activities of regional cohesion policy for the new 2021–2027 programming cycle, in order to integrate the opportunities provided by the numerous post-Covid policies and help relaunch the regional economy’s growth potential by boosting productivity and employment.
On 8 December 2022, the European Commission approved the PR FESR Sicilia 2021–2027, amounting to EUR 5.8 billion, by EU Decision 9366/2022 signed by the Commissioner for Regional Policy, Elisa Ferreira.
Below are the calendar of calls for proposals and the news relating to the FESR 2021–2027 Programming of the Sicilian Region.
Attached are the new PR FESR Sicilia 2021–2027 and the related documentation.
Among the attachments are also the volume “Sicily towards the 21–27 programming” (full document and individual thematic areas), the presentations from the 2021 thematic roundtables, the EU 2021–2027 regulations that entered into force on 1 July 2021, the Strategic Document for Regional Programming (DSR) FESR 2021–2027, the slides from the meetings with the economic and social Partnership of Sicily held on 31 March 2022 in Catania, 4 April in Caltanissetta, and 11 April in Palermo, the public notice launching the publication and consultation of the documentation relating to the proposed PR FESR 2021–2027 and the Strategic Environmental Assessment (VAS), the outcomes of the consultation process with the Partnership, the favourable opinion of the Regional Department for Territory and Environment on the VAS procedure for the PR FESR 2021–2027, and the mapping of territorial aggregations, the draft memorandum of understanding between municipalities and policy guidelines for the 2021–2027 territorial strategies, the public notice for the selection of new partners within the Partnership (Sicilia Partecipa PA platform), the circular and methodological note regarding communication obligations for Operations of strategic importance 2021–2027, and the guidelines for beneficiaries’ information and communication actions.
