Audit Authority

The Audit Authority is responsible for verifying the effective functioning of the management and control system. This function is assigned to the Special Office for Second-Level Controls on the management of Structural Funds in Sicily.
The Special Office is functionally independent from both the Managing Authority and the Certification Authority.
The Audit Authority performs all functions corresponding to those defined by Regulation (EC) 1803/2006, according to the implementation arrangements laid down by Regulation (EC) 1828/2006.
