The Sicilian Region's Brussels Office aims to provide support in the field of direct funding from the European Union. Specifically, it disseminates information and advance notices regarding new direct funding programmes and related calls for proposals, as well as assisting participants in creating transnational partnerships by distributing specific "partner search" information sheets throughout Europe.
Activities carried out by the Brussels Office in relation to partnership research
The Brussels Office is responsible for transmitting project ideas to Sicily and the network of European Regions in Brussels in order to facilitate the creation of transnational partnerships necessary for participation in European direct funding programmes.
Partecipate in transnational partnerships
The Office, part of the network of European Regions in Brussels, periodically receives numerous project factsheets from across Europe requiring the establishment of a partnership.
The Brussels Office is responsible for summarizing, translating into Italian, and disseminating these factsheets widely throughout Sicily. The "partner research," accompanied by the original version of the project, is forwarded by the Office, depending on the areas of expertise, to the Sicilian Region's Departments and Offices, all schools and universities, municipalities, institutions, and associations in the area.
To ensure timely delivery of partner research, the Brussels Office distributes these factsheets via email to interested parties registered on the mailing list. Those wishing to be added to the Office's database can send an email with their contact information to ufficiodibruxelles@regionesiciliana.be
Partner searches will be available in the news section of this portal.
The Brussels Office also offers support during the expression of interest process for Sicilian entities wishing to participate in the partnership selection process.
Finding partners across Europe
Sicilian entities that already have a project idea but need to form a transnational partnership to participate in a European call for proposals can benefit from the support offered by the Brussels Office.
The Office provides applicants with a form, to be completed in English, in which they are asked to briefly describe their project idea, specify the partners sought, and provide a deadline for receiving expressions of interest from potential European partners. The Office, upon request, offers English language support, which is necessary to complete the partner search form.
Interested parties can download this form, available on this website in the attachments box, and, once completed, send it to the following email address: ufficiodibruxelles@regionesiciliana.be
The Office also provides support throughout the development phase of the transnational partnership, offering partners the opportunity to facilitate meetings and exchange information thanks to the strategic location of its Brussels office.
