With the approval of CIPESS Resolution No. 2 of 29 April 2021, “Fondo Sviluppo e Coesione. Disposizioni per il Piano Sviluppo e Coesione,” published in the GURI on 16/06/2021, and CIPESS Resolution No. 32 of 29 April 2021, “Fondo Sviluppo e Coesione – Approvazione del Piano Sviluppo e Coesione della Regione Siciliana,” published in the GURI on 09/08/2021, the regulatory framework for implementing the Piano di Sviluppo e Coesione (PSC) of the Sicilian Region was defined. Into the Plan flowed the programmes relating to resources from the 2000–2006, 2007–2013 and 2014–2020 programming cycles, for an initial total allocation of:
- EUR 5,653.13 million for the Ordinary Section
- EUR 1,365.80 million for the Special Sections, specifically EUR 941.98 million for Special Section 1 (pursuant to Art. 241 of Decree-Law
34/2020) and EUR 423.82 million for Special Section 2 (pursuant to Art. 242 of Decree-Law 34/2020).
Following the review of the achievement of Obbligazioni giuridicamente vincolanti (Ogv) by 31/12/2022 (pursuant to Art. 44 of Decree-Law 34/2019), CIPESS Resolution No. 40 of 09/07/2024 (“Piani Sviluppo e Coesione (PSC) Regione Siciliana, Città metropolitana di Catania, Città metropolitana di Messina, Città metropolitana di Palermo – Attuazione dell’articolo 44 del decreto-legge 30 aprile 2019, n. 34 e s.m.i. e aggiornamento degli allegati alla delibera CIPESS n. 48 del 2022”), published in the GURI No. 255 of 30/10/2024, re-determined the financial allocation of the Ordinary Section of the PSC of the Sicilian Region at EUR 5,551,377,003.27.
